Institute Level Admissions 2025-26 – Guidelines & Instructions

(1) First Year B. Tech. Programs

R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT), Shirpur conducts Institute Level Round(s) (IL Rounds) for admissions to First Year Engineering/Technology programs (B. Tech.) against vacancies remaining after the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds, and for seats under the Institute Level Quota.

(2) Direct Second Year B. Tech. Programs

For Direct Second Year IL Rounds will be conducted against vacancies remaining after the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds.

These rounds are conducted in accordance with the admission rules prescribed by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, as per Clause 13 of the Information Brochure issued for the respective academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

• Only candidates who have:
  • Registered through the State CET Cell portal, and
  • Verified their documents at designated Scrutiny Centres (SC), and
  • Possess a valid Application ID
  are eligible to participate in the Institute Level Rounds.
• Applications must be submitted to Admission Committee offline and in person at the institute's Registrar Office along with all necessary documents.

Procedure & Instructions

1) Display of Vacant Seats

• The institute will publish advertisement for IL Rounds in newspaper along with the schedule of activities.
• The list of vacant seats available for IL Rounds will be displayed on the institute website and notice boards.

2) Submission of Applications

• Eligible candidates must submit their completed application form in person to the Registrar's Office, along with the necessary documents, within the notified period.
• Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

3) Provisional Merit List

• A Provisional Merit List will be prepared based on the academic merit of applicants as per norms laid down by the Admission Regulatory Authority.
• The merit list will be displayed on the institute website and notice boards.
• Candidates must verify their names, ranks, and details. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately.

4) Reporting Guidelines

• Candidates whose names appear in the Provisional Merit List must report to the institute as per the given instructions, carrying all original documents and the prescribed fee.
• Candidates are expected to arrive at the Registrar's Office (Ground Floor) at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled admission round.

5) Admission Process

• Admissions will be offered strictly in order of merit.
• Candidates absent at the time of their turn, or without required documents, will forfeit their claim.
• Candidates reporting late will be considered only for the seats available at the time of reporting, even if they hold a higher rank than those already admitted.

6) Document Verification & Seat Confirmation

• Candidates must present all applicable original documents for verification.
• Seat confirmation will be granted only upon full payment of the admission fee, either:
  • By Demand Draft in favor of "R. C. Patel Institute of Technology", payable at Shirpur, or
  • Through the official online payment gateway of RCPIT.
• Part payments, cash, or cheque payments are not accepted.

Final Admission Confirmation

• Once a seat is allotted and the fee is paid, candidates must submit all required original documents.
• If the candidate is already admitted elsewhere, they will be allowed limited time to submit the required documents after cancellation from the previous institute.
• Final admission will be processed and confirmed on the State CET Cell portal, and the student will receive:
  • Admission Confirmation Letter
  • Official Fee Receipt
  • Document Submission Acknowledgment

Additional Rounds

• If seats remain vacant after the initial IL Round or additional vacancies arise due to cancellations:
  • Subsequent IL Rounds may be conducted until all seats are filled before the final cut-off date announced by the State CET Cell.
  • Candidates are advised to regularly check the RCPIT website and notice boards for updates and schedules of additional IL Rounds.

Important Notes:

• All IL Round activities will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Admission Regulatory Authority and State CET Cell, Maharashtra.
• No seat will be confirmed without the submission of required documents and full payment of fees.
• The institute reserves the right to amend the schedule or procedure based on official directives or operational requirements.
