Computer Center

The Central Computer Center at RCPIT serves as the technological hub of the institute, delivering essential IT infrastructure, digital learning tools, and secure connectivity to support academic, research, and administrative needs. Spread across two well-equipped centers measuring 161 sq. m and 230 sq. m, the facility supports all departments and plays a key role in advancing digitally enabled education.

Infrastructure & Connectivity

  • Server Room: Equipped with 8 high-performance servers including IBM database servers, web servers, Linux servers, domain and library servers.
  • Network Backbone: Powered by a 1000 Mbps high-speed campus-wide backbone with 1:1 leased line providing uninterrupted, high-bandwidth internet.
  • Security: AVAYA-certified LAN with Cisco switches and a dedicated firewall unit for controlled and secure access.
  • Computing Nodes: Over 100 high-performance desktops networked for academic, project, and research work.
  • Air-Conditioned Environment: Both computer centers are fully air-conditioned to maintain a comfortable learning atmosphere and ensure optimal hardware performance.

  • 46 Microsoft Volume Licensed Software: Includes various editions of Microsoft Windows (7, 8, 10, 11 – Enterprise, Education, Professional), Windows Server editions (2008 to 2019), Microsoft SQL Server (2012–2019), SharePoint Server, Lync, Forefront Identity Manager, and more.
  • 4 Open Source OS: Linux Mint, Fedora, Ubuntu, CentOS

  • Fire Safety Equipment: The facility is equipped with certified fire extinguishers and other fire safety systems to handle emergencies effectively and in compliance with safety regulations.
