Institute Level Admissions to First Year Engineering/Technology Programs (B. Tech.)

(Institutional Quota 20% and Likely Vacancy Against CAP Rounds)

R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT), Shirpur, invites applications from eligible candidates for the Institute Level Seats that includes Institute Level Quota 20% and likely seats remaining vacant after CAP Rounds for the First Year of the Four-Year Degree Courses in B. Tech. program for the academic year 2025-26.

The seat matrix is displayed in Table 1.

This admissions will be conducted in accordance with Clause 13 (Page 87-88) of the Information Brochure (Academic Year 2025-26) published by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, available under the link -- 'Rules and Brochure'on https://fe2025.mahacet.org/StaticPages/HomePage.

1. Eligibility

Only candidates who have registered through the State CET portal and verified their applications through Scrutiny Centres (SC) with a valid registration number by the State CET are eligible to apply for Institute Level seats.

2. Admission Schedule

The admission schedule for all categories of Institute Seats shall follow the timeline as announced by the Honorable State CET Cell, Government of Maharashtra, in accordance with Admission Notice No. 5/2025/2428 dated 23rd July 2025 (Reference: TED 1224/C.R. 14/CAP/BE).

3. Application Receiving/Submission

Aspiring candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as notified by the Government and specified by the appropriate authority, from time to time, shall apply

4. Admission Process:

The Institute Level Round(s) and admissions to Institute Level seats shall be carried out in accordance with Rule 13 (Pages 87--88) of the Information Brochure for the Academic Year 2025--26, as issued by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra State. The admission process will strictly follow the guidelines and schedule prescribed by the Honorable State CET Cell, Government of Maharashtra, as per Admission Notice No. 5/2025/2428 dated 23rd July 2025 (Reference: TED 1224/C.R. 14/CAP/BE).

The detailed schedule for the Institute Level Round(s) will be published on the Institute's Notice Boards and official website after the completion of all CAP rounds. Candidates are advised to regularly check these platforms for timely updates and notifications.

5. Admission Fee

As per the Minutes of Meetings of the Fee Regulating Authority (FRA) dated 24th April 2025 and 15th May 2025, the following fee structure is applicable for admissions under all Institute Level Seats (Institutional Quota -- 20% and Vacancy Against CAP):

This annual fee remains applicable throughout the duration of the B.Tech program, until the completion of the entire course.

6. Required Documents at the Time of Admission

Candidates are required to keep the following documents ready at the time of admission:

  • Receipt-cum-Acknowledgment issued by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, duly verified by the Scrutiny Centre (SC).
  • All original documents that were verified by the Scrutiny Centre, along with the verification copy.

OR

  • Receipt of Admission (if applicable), issued by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, in case the candidate has already been admitted to another institute within Maharashtra State.

Candidates must ensure that all documents are complete and available for verification during the admission process.

Institute Code of Conduct for Student

Students are encouraged to share their personal achievements and the achievements or activities of R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT) on social media platforms in a positive and respectful manner. All posts must use professional language and must not contain any offensive, defamatory, misleading, or inappropriate content. Any post that harms the dignity of RCPIT's stakeholders---including students, faculty, staff, or alumni---or that negatively affects the image and reputation of the institute will be treated as a serious act of indiscipline. Such actions will be subject to disciplinary measures and may also attract legal consequences as per institutional policies and applicable laws.

  1. 1. Identity Verification: All students must carry their Identity cards at all times within the institute premises and must present them promptly when required.
  2. 2. Dress Code: It is mandatory for all students to wear the prescribed uniform while entering the institute premises. The uniform includes light blue jeans, T-shirts (to be purchased from the institute cooperative store), white sports shoes, and white socks.
  3. 3. Attendance: Students are required to be present throughout the academic year until the last day of each session.
  4. 4. Class Participation: Regular attendance in theory and practical sessions including online sessions / guest lectures is mandatory. If a student's attendance in any of these classes (online/offline), including absences due to personal/medical issues, falls below 75%, their session will not be considered valid. As a result, they will be prohibited from appearing for institute examinations. Students with less than 75% attendance must re-enroll in the semester and complete it according to academic guidelines after paying the prescribed fee.
  5. 5. Assignments and Submissions: All institute-prescribed assignments, projects, journals, session reports, and files must be satisfactorily submitted within the given deadlines. Failure to do so will result in the student being ineligible to participate in the exams.
  6. 6. Respectful Conduct: Students must conduct themselves respectfully with faculty and non-teaching staff both inside and outside the institute premises. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
  7. 7. Fee Payment: Students are required to pay the prescribed fees within the stipulated deadlines. Failure to comply will be considered as grounds for cancellation of admission.
  8. 8. Updating Personal Information: Students must inform their department and the institute office about any Changes in their contact details. The institute will not be held responsible for any loss of information due to unreported changes.
  9. 9. Participation in Extracurricular Activities: Participation in extracurricular activities organized by the institute from time to time is mandatory for all students.
  10. 10. Notification of Absences: In case of illness or any other emergency situations, students must inform the department head or local guardian about their absence.
  11. 11. Adherence to Exam Attempts Limit: Students are bound by institute regulations, such as restrictions on the number of permissible attempts to pass exams.
  12. 12. Prohibition of Ragging: Ragging in any form, whether within or outside the institute premises, is strictly prohibited & governed under a zero-tolerance policy at RCPIT. Any student found guilty of involvement in ragging will face immediate expulsion from the institute.This rule is enforced in accordance with the guidelines and regulations issued by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi (2009), the Govt of Maharashtra (1999), & the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India (Order No. 370/04/XIA, 2007) under the Prohibition of Ragging Act.
  13. 13. Prohibition of Disruptive Activities: Students involved in disruptive activities, strikes, or demonstrations will be expelled from the institute, and fees paid will not be refunded.
  14. 14. Parental Involvement: Parents are required to log in through the institute's ERP system to access information on their ward's academic progress. If summoned by the institute or its Heads of Departments/Director, it is mandatory for the student's parents to visit the institute.
  15. 15. Prohibition of Prohibited Substances: Smoking, consumption of tobacco products, alcohol, or drugs within the institute premises is strictly prohibited; violators will be suspended/terminated.
  16. 16. Purchasing of Stationery: All stationery required for coursework/term work must be purchased from the institute cooperative store.
  17. 17. Hostel Regulations: Students residing in the hostel must adhere to all the hostel rules.
  18. 18. Ban on Mobile Phones in Class: The use of mobile phones in theory/practical classes is prohibited.

  20. 20. Government Scholarship Holders: Students who are eligible for government scholarships must produce the required documents and complete the online scholarship form within the stipulated deadline, every year.
  21. 21. Damage/Theft of Property: Any student found damaging or stealing property, infrastructure, equipment or facilities of the institute or hostel purposefully will be terminated or expelled from the hostels or institute.
  22. 22. Liability for Personal Belongings: The institute will not be responsible for any loss of valuable personal belongings such as mobile phones, cash, jewelry, bags, laptops, etc.
  23. 23. Compliance with Published Rules: Students must comply with all institute rules and directives issued by the directors from time to time.
  24. 24. Compliance with Institute and Government Rules: Violation of any institute, institute, or governmental rules may result in cancellation of admission.
  25. 25. Cancellation of Admission and Fee Refunds: All rules regarding admission cancellation and fee refunds are subject to the regulations of the State CET Cell, Mumbai.
  26. 26. No Objection Certificate: Students are required to obtain a No Objection Certificate in the prescribed format at the time of admission cancellation, when requesting a Transfer Certificate, or after the completion of their engineering course.
  27. 27. Returning Original Documents: Students will receive their original documents such as documents submitted at the time of admission / semester mark sheets / degree certificate / transfer certificate---only after obtaining a No Objection Certificate from the department. These documents will be issued directly to the students themselves and not to their relatives or friends under any circumstances.
  28. 28. Violation of Rules / Code of Conduct: Any violation of the disciplinary rules or code of conduct may result in the cancellation of admission.
  29. 29. Legal Jurisdiction: Any disputes related to admissions or any other related issues will fall under the jurisdiction of the court in Shirpur.
  30. 30. Undertaken to be submitted: Students and parents are required to submit undertaking / affidavit regarding all above rules 1 to 29 at the time of admission.
