Important Note :
A student can avail only one scholarship scheme at a time. If eligible under multiple categories, the student must choose one applicable scheme as per government rules and portal requirements.
Candidates must apply for the scholarship within the prescribed timeline on the official Government Scholarship Portal: mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in
Applications must be submitted with all required supporting documents as per the guidelines.
The eligibility criteria and norms for disqualification are detailed in the next section. Candidates are advised to read them carefully before applying.
Eligibility & Disqualification from Government Scholarship
- The student must have secured admission through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Government of Maharashtra.
- For students under the EBC (Economically Backward Class) category, the total family income for the previous financial year should not exceed ₹8,00,000, and a valid Income Certificate (valid up to March 2026) must be submitted. Additionally, students under this category must belong to families with no more than two children, as recorded on the Ration Card.
- Students from the OBC, SBC, NT, and SEBC categories are required to submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate with validity up to March 2026.
- For students in the SC and ST categories, only a valid Income Certificate (up to March 2026) is required. A Non-Creamy Layer Certificate is not required for these categories.
- Students must apply for the scholarship through the official government portal: mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in ensuring the application is submitted online within the prescribed timeline, along with all required supporting documents. Submission of the application is entirely the student’s responsibility.
- Students who, prior to admission to this institution (i.e., before the academic year 2025–2026), had taken admission in any degree or diploma course and discontinued it midway, shall be considered ineligible for the scholarship.
- All girl students who fulfill the above conditions shall be eligible for 100% scholarship (excluding Development Fee).
- For all government scholarship schemes, a minimum of 75% attendance in the college is mandatory.
- Students are required to fill out examination forms and appear for the first and second semester university examinations.
- If a student (boy or girl) from the SC/ST category has a total family income exceeding ₹2.50 lakhs, or from the OBC/SBC/VJNT category has income exceeding ₹1.50 lakhs, and fails two or more times during the entire course duration, then such a student shall be considered ineligible for the scholarship in the following academic year.
