Dr. S. V. Desale
Head of Department
The department is committed to fostering scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and engineering aptitude through a well-structured curriculum comprising Quantum Physics, Applied Chemistry, Engineering Mathematics, Applied Mechanics and Robotics, Engineering Graphics, Structured Programming using C, Biology for Computing, Basic Electrical Engineering, Digital Electronics, Engineering Communication and Lean Thinking, etc. These courses are designed in accordance with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles, furthermore it enhances students' conceptual understanding while cultivating logical reasoning, computational competence, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills. Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP), the curriculum extends beyond conventional classroom learning by integrating the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and Health and Wellness, thereby promoting students' holistic intellectual, cultural, and social development.
Beyond academics, the department fosters holistic development by integrating communication skills, language proficiency, professional ethics, and human values into the teaching-learning process. Well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Language Laboratories provide experiential learning that develops analytical thinking and practical skills through laboratory-based activities.
DASH is more than an academic foundation; it serves as a transition platform where students develop the mindset, motivation, and learning approach required to excel throughout their engineering education.
