Dr. S. V. Desale
Head of Department
The department is dedicated to nurturing essential scientific and analytical thinking through core subjects such as Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Computational Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics, and Communication Skills. These courses not only strengthen the technical base but also introduce students to engineering logic, precision, and problem-solving.
In addition, the department fosters personal growth and professional readiness by integrating language proficiency, communication development, and human values into the learning process. With access to state-of- the-art laboratories—including the Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, and Language Lab—students engage in experiential learning that makes abstract concepts tangible and enjoyable.
DASH is more than just an academic foundation—it serves as a transition space where students develop the mindset, motivation, and methodology to thrive throughout their engineering education.
Vision
To develop well-rounded engineering learners by imparting strong scientific knowledge, language proficiency, and ethical values in a learner-centric environment.
Mission
- To establish a solid academic foundation for all engineering disciplines through applied science and humanities.
- To instill analytical, linguistic, and ethical competencies required for lifelong learning and professional excellence.
- To promote curiosity, creativity, and character in the formative year of engineering education.
