Ranked 1st Among 358 Institutions by IIT Bombay

In a proud achievement, RCPIT secured the 1st rank among 358 institutions in IIT Bombay's Virtual Lab Initiative. This prestigious recognition highlights the institute's leadership in adopting virtual experimentation and e-labs, which offer students real-time, hands-on learning experiences across engineering domains—irrespective of physical lab constraints.

Extensive Participation in IIT Bombay's Virtual Lab

In the last academic year alone, over 2,000 students (88%) and 90% of faculty members actively engaged with the IIT Bombay Virtual Lab platform, making RCPIT one of the most proactive adopters of this national digital initiative. Through interactive simulations and remote experimentation, participants deepened their subject understanding and gained access to tools typically reserved for elite institutions.

Recognized Regional Centre for Virtual Labs

RCPIT is a designated Nodal Remote Centre for IIT Bombay, contributing to:

  • Hosting live remote workshops, webinars, and lab sessions via CDEEP (Centre for Distance Engineering Education Programme)
  • Facilitating train-the-trainer programs and capacity-building for other institutions
  • Expanding access to virtual learning in underserved and rural areas

E-Learning Collaboration with Amrita University

RCPIT's tie-up with Amrita University has resulted in the setup of advanced e-learning classrooms, enabling:
