Overview
The Industry-Institute Interaction Cell is a vital initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practices. The Cell actively promotes meaningful collaborations between the institute and various industries to foster innovation, skill development, and research excellence. By creating a platform for continuous engagement between academia and the professional world, the IIIC facilitates a dynamic environment where students, faculty, and industry experts can collaborate for mutual growth. Our mission is to cultivate a forward-looking ecosystem that not only enhances employability and practical knowledge among students but also supports industries in accessing young talent and academic insight for research and innovation.
Objectives
- To foster strong partnerships with industries for establishing Centres of Excellence, enabling real-time exposure to emerging technologies, industrial practices, and career opportunities through internships, trainings, and campus recruitment.
- To facilitate experiential learning by organizing industrial visits, in-plant training programs, and live projects for students and faculty, enhancing their practical understanding of industry operations.
- To promote collaborative research, innovation, and consultancy projects involving faculty, students, and industry experts, addressing real-world challenges and advancing technological development.
- To align academic curriculum with current industry needs by involving professionals in curriculum development, expert talks, workshops, and mentoring programs.

The International Relations and Higher Studies Cell connects students globally:

Overview: RCPIT continues to strengthen its connection with alumni by promoting structured mentorship and professional development opportunities for current students. Alumni from various departments have actively contributed to career guidance, project-based learning, and placement preparation through formal and informal engagement channels. This initiative enhances academic value and industry-readiness among students by fostering a vibrant exchange between past and present learners.
Dedicated Alumni Portal
- www.alumni.rcpit.ac.in serves as the centralized platform for alumni-student interaction.
- The portal facilitates batch-wise mentor-mentee matching, allowing students to connect with alumni based on domain, location, and expertise.
- Department-wise WhatsApp groups have also been created for continued communication and career guidance.
Mentorship & Career Support
- Alumni offered guidance through interactive sessions on career planning, entrepreneurship, research opportunities, and global education pathways.
- Assistance provided in internship identification, resume reviews, and interview preparation.
- Alumni-led Mock Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) simulated real-world interview settings to enhance student confidence.

Professor of Practice (PoP) Integration
Introduction
In alignment with the AICTE's "Professor of Practice (PoP)" initiative, R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT) has launched a strategic effort to integrate industry-academia collaboration into its academic ecosystem. The aim is to bring real-world experience into the classroom and foster innovation, practical learning, and professional readiness among students.
RCPIT has invited distinguished alumni and seasoned industry professionals to actively participate in academic activities beyond conventional guest lectures, contributing to meaningful curriculum delivery and mentoring.
