The React Cohort 2024-25

The React Cohort was a 4-day technical workshop organized by the Akatsuki Coding Club of the Computer Engineering Department from 2nd April to 5th April 2025. The workshop was designed exclusively for second-year students to provide them with practical and in-depth exposure to modern web development technologies, focusing on React.js and Tailwind CSS. The objective of the workshop was to equip students with the knowledge of component-based architecture, state management, styling with utility-first CSS (Tailwind), and real-time deployment practices. The participants were guided through a project-based learning approach, where they developed an Online Project Selling Platform during the workshop. A total of 98 students from the second year of the Computer Engineering Department actively participated in the workshop. The sessions were conducted in the Computer Center of the department, with hands-on coding exercises, real-time guidance, and post-event tasks to reinforce learning. This report highlights the workshop's objectives, structure, execution, post-event tasks, and overall impact on participants' learning and skill development.
