R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT), invites applications from eligible diploma holders for Direct Second Year B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) admissions under the Institute Level (ACAP) quota for vacant seats remaining after the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds for the academic year 2025–26.
- Mode of Admission: Institute Level (Merit-Based)
- Eligibility:
- Only those candidates shall be considered eligible who have:
- Registered through the State CET Cell portal, and
- Verified their applications through designated Scrutiny Centres (SC), and
- Possess a valid registration number issued by the State CET Cell.

* NOTE: Candidates are advised to regularly check the Institute Notice Boards and the official Institute Website for updates regarding availability of further vacancies due to cancellations of admissions after CAP (if any). Such vacancies will also be filled as per the rules and schedule laid down by the State CET Cell.

- IMPORTANT NOTE:
- The activity schedule is subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances or any extension issued by the Competent Authority. Candidates are advised to regularly check the Institute Notice Board and the official Institute Website for timely updates.
- If seats remain vacant after the above Institute Level (IL) Round conducted as per the given schedule, or if additional vacancies arise due to cancellation of admissions, additional IL Rounds will be conducted on subsequent days until all vacancies are filled before the cut-off date.
- While filling these seats, preference shall be given to Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates over All India Candidature Candidates, on the basis of Inter-Se-Merit as per the State CET Cell Information Brochure. Last preference shall be given to candidates other than Maharashtra State Candidates.
- While filling ACAP seats, if Minority candidate is not available, the seat shall be allotted to Non-minority Candidates, based on guidelines of Inter-Se-Merit stated in State CET Cell Information Brochure.
- Candidates whose name appeared in final merit list will be called one by one as per their merit number starting from Merit number 1 (higher merit number first).
- A candidate may lose the claim to the allotted seat if he/she:
- Fails to remain present at the time of reporting as per the schedule, OR
- Fails to submit the required documents and pay the prescribed fees at the time of reporting.
- If a candidate is not present when his/her merit number and name are announced for admission confirmation, the next candidate in the merit list will be considered for seat allotment, and the absent candidate may forfeit his/her opportunity.
- If a candidate of higher merit reports late during the seat allotment process, he/she may still be considered for admission to the seats available at that time, and shall be given preference over candidates with lower rank who are present.
- In case a candidate has taken admission elsewhere, he/she must produce:
- Receipt-Cum-Acknowledgement of Admission issued by the State CET Cell and signed by that Institute, along with a set of photocopies of all documents duly attested by the Principal/Director of the Institute where the candidate has already secured admission.
- An Undertaking stating that the original documents will be submitted within four (04) working days from the date of admission.
- Candidates shall confirm admission by:
- Paying the requisite fee as per the fee structure displayed on the Institute Website for Institute Level seats, and
- Submitting the required documents in original at the time of reporting to the Institute.
- The decision of the Chairman of the Admission Committee shall be final and binding on all candidates.

3. Reporting – Admission Confirmation at IL Level
All the candidates whose name appears in Final Merit List displayed by the Institute on institute website / notice board shall report as per above schedule with required documents and prescribed fee given below;

4. Admission Fee and Required Documents at the Time of IL Level Admission
As per the Minutes of Meetings of the Fee Regulating Authority (FRA), the following fee structure is applicable for admissions under all Institute Level Seats (Vacancy Against CAP) for admission to Direct Second Year B.Tech. for the academic year 2025–26.

Candidates are required to keep the following documents ready at the time of admission:
- Receipt-cum-Acknowledgment issued by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, duly verified by the Scrutiny Centre (SC).
- All original documents that were verified by the Scrutiny Centre, along with the verification copy. (See Table 2)

- Receipt of Admission (if applicable), issued by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, in case the candidate has already been admitted to another institute within Maharashtra State.
