Shirpur, Maharashtra: Students from the R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT), Shirpur proudly represented the institute at the prestigious Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 – Hardware Edition Grand Finale, held from 11–15 December 2024 at Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

The student team participated in the national-level innovation competition under the guidance of Prof. Nilesh Shinde, Faculty Mentor. During the five-day event, the team worked continuously to develop an innovative hardware-based solution, presented their prototype before an expert jury, and received valuable technical feedback from industry professionals and academic experts.

On the third day of the hackathon, the participants attended an interactive leadership session by Mr. Yogesh Brahmankar, Innovation Director, Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, who shared valuable insights on innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and problem-solving. The students also interacted with experts, innovators, and fellow participants from across the country, gaining exposure to emerging technologies and real-world engineering challenges.

Participation in the SIH Grand Finale provided the students with an excellent opportunity to enhance their technical knowledge, teamwork, design thinking, presentation skills, and innovation capabilities while representing RCPIT on a national platform.

The management, Principal, faculty members, and students of RCPIT congratulated the participating team and their faculty mentor for their commendable achievement and wished them continued success in future innovation and research activities.
