Electrical Engineering Students Achieve National Recognition at IIT Ropar

R. C. Patel Institute of Technology, Shirpur is proud to announce that Electrical Engineering students Yashodeep More and Komal Kumawat have secured third place in the ANNAM.AI Hackathon 2025 organized by IIT Ropar under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Their innovative project, titled AgriWaste2Fuel, focuses on converting agricultural residues into green energy to promote sustainability, increase farmers’ income, and support carbon credit generation. The team received a cash prize of Rs. 3,00,000 and has been selected for Phase II, which includes mentored research and funding collaboration with IIT Ropar.

This achievement reflects the institute’s commitment to nurturing innovation and excellence among students. The success was guided by the leadership of Prof. Dr. J. B. Patil, Director, Prof. Dr. P. J. Deore, Deputy Director, and Prof. Dr. Shailaja A. Patil, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department.
