RCPIT Inaugurates ACM Student Chapter to Promote Global Computing Excellence

The Department of Computer Engineering at R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT), Shirpur, has inaugurated the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter, providing students with access to one of the world's largest and most prestigious professional computing organizations.

The Student Chapter was inaugurated by Principal Dr. J. B. Patil in the presence of Vice Principal Dr. P. J. Deore, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students.

The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is a globally recognized professional organization dedicated to advancing computing as a science and profession. Through this Student Chapter, students will gain opportunities to participate in technical events, workshops, coding competitions, hackathons, webinars, seminars, research activities, and networking with national and international academicians and industry experts.

The ACM Student Chapter aims to encourage innovation, enhance technical knowledge, strengthen research culture, and improve students' professional competencies in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Software Development.

The initiative was undertaken by the Department of Computer Engineering under the guidance of Dr. R. B. Wagh, Head of the Department, with active support from Dr. M. M. Sardey, who served as the Faculty Sponsor for establishing the chapter.
