Board of Studies (BoS)

The Board of Studies (BoS) is the academic body of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, responsible for designing, reviewing, and continuously enhancing the curriculum to meet the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP), Outcome-Based Education (OBE), industry requirements, and the latest technological advancements. The Board ensures that the curriculum remains relevant, flexible, and aligned with the recommendations of the Academic Council, fostering academic excellence, innovation, research, and employability.

Functions of the Board of Studies

  • Design, review, and revise the curriculum and course syllabi for the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning program.
  • Recommend new courses, electives, and value-added programs in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing.
  • Review and approve Program Outcomes (POs), Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Course Outcomes (COs) in alignment with Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
  • Integrate advancements in AI, ML, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Intelligent Systems into the curriculum.
  • Promote innovative teaching-learning practices, project-based learning, experiential learning, and industry-oriented activities.
  • Recommend appropriate assessment methods to strengthen Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
  • Encourage interdisciplinary learning, research, innovation, internships, entrepreneurship, and professional certifications.
  • Foster industry collaboration and stakeholder engagement to enhance student employability.
  • Facilitate continuous curriculum improvement through feedback, attainment analysis, and academic audits.
  • Submit curriculum recommendations to the Academic Council for approval.
