Board of Studies (BoS)
The Board of Studies (BoS) is the statutory academic body of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, responsible for designing, reviewing, and continuously enhancing the curriculum to meet the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP), Outcome-Based Education (OBE), industry requirements, and the latest technological advancements. The Board ensures that the curriculum remains relevant, flexible, and aligned with the recommendations of the Academic Council, fostering academic excellence, innovation, research, and employability.
Functions of the Board of Studies
- Formulate, review, and update the curriculum and syllabus in accordance with academic and industry requirements.
- Recommend the introduction of new courses, electives, honours, minors, and value-added programmes.
- Review and refine Program Outcomes (POs), Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Course Outcomes (COs) to ensure quality education.
- Integrate emerging technologies, industry trends, and professional standards into the curriculum.
- Encourage innovative teaching–learning practices, experiential learning, and outcome-based education.
- Recommend effective assessment, evaluation, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Promote interdisciplinary learning, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration.
- Submit curriculum revisions and academic recommendations to the Academic Council for approval.
