Department of Information Technology

The Board of Studies (BoS) is the academic body responsible for designing, reviewing, and updating the curriculum of the Department of Information Technology. The Board ensures that the curriculum is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP), industry requirements, emerging technologies, and the recommendations of the Academic Council, thereby promoting academic excellence, innovation, and industry relevance.

Functions of the Board of Studies (BoS)

• Design, review, and periodically revise the curriculum and syllabus in line with academic and industry requirements.
• Recommend the introduction of new courses, professional electives, and value-added certification programs.
• Review and update Program Outcomes (POs), Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Course Outcomes (COs) to ensure effective Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
• Integrate emerging technologies, industry trends, and professional standards into the curriculum.
• Encourage the adoption of innovative teaching–learning practices and modern educational tools.
• Recommend appropriate assessment, evaluation, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Promote interdisciplinary learning, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration.
• Submit curriculum revisions and academic recommendations to the Academic Council for approval and implementation.
