Department Advisory Board
The objective of the Department Advisory Board (DAB) is to provide strategic academic and industry-oriented guidance to ensure the Mechanical Engineering program remains relevant, outcome-based, and compliant with NBA and AICTE standards. It focuses on curriculum review, stakeholder alignment, and fostering industry–institute interaction for continuous quality improvement.
Role and Responsibility of Departmental Advisory Board (DAB) :
- To approve the Vision and Mission of the department.
- To approve the PEOs, PSOs, and COs of the department.
- To identify and define current and future issues related to the programme.
- To develop and recommend new or revised PEOs and PSOs.
- To recommend proposals and requirements for effective implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
- To provide guidelines for curriculum enrichment and effective deployment of the curriculum.
- To analyse and evaluate programme-level gaps.
- To recommend suitable assessment tools for measuring programme outcomes.
- To evaluate the attainment of PEOs, PSOs, and POs and propose necessary improvements and corrective actions.
- To recommend guidelines for research activities and entrepreneurship development.
