R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT), Shirpur has achieved a historic milestone at Techfest, IIT Bombay, Asia’s largest technical festival, as Team Ingenium Drives secured the Second Runner-Up position in the prestigious 30 kg International Robo War (Combat Robotics) category.

The event, organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay from 20th to 23rd December, witnessed participation from top teams across the globe. Competing in multiple categories including 8 kg, 15 kg, and 30 kg Robo War, the RCPIT team delivered an outstanding performance.

This achievement marks RCPIT’s first-ever international victory in Combat Robotics, setting a new benchmark of excellence and innovation for the institute.

The proud achievers include Anurag Jamadar (ENTC), Premkumar Patil (ENTC), and Chaitnya Patil (Computer Engineering), whose dedication, technical expertise, and teamwork led to this remarkable success.

The Girls’ Volleyball Team of R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT), Shirpur achieved a remarkable victory by securing First Place in the Jalgaon Division Intercollegiate Volleyball Tournament orgnised under Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere.

The tournament was held at Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon on 10th November 2025, with participation from ten teams representing affiliated colleges across Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Nashik, and Dhule districts.

The RCPIT team delivered an outstanding performance throughout the competition. Among the key contributors, Mansi Sanjay Mahajan, a Third-Year student from the Electronics & Telecommunication Department, played a significant role in the team’s success.

Their robot, engineered with advanced sensors and obstacle-detection algorithms, successfully navigated complex mazes with zero human intervention—demonstrating elite-level precision and innovation.

Team Safety Giants won the prize of 1 Lakh in UL NSSC Impact Film contest.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the UL public safety mission through the discovery and application of scientific knowledge.

The NSSC aims to sensitize and inform young students about safety as a science, and inculcate the culture of safety in their minds — thereby creating India's next generation of safety ambassadors.

The project “Safety Helmet” provide digital solution for monitoring, tracking the Motor bike driver’s health and current status which help to avoid accidents and to provide immediate help after accidents.
